Werribee Community College Welcomes a New Principal

Meg Cotter

Meg’s journey through the world of education spans over three decades, showcasing her commitment to fostering inclusive learning environments. As the new School Principal for our small special assistance community college, Meg brings a wealth of experience from secondary schools, vocational education, and adult learning centres. Her roles have ranged from teaching and teacher development to coordination and management, always prioritising tailoring education for learners to pursue their individual goals and pathways.

For the last 10 years, Meg has been a dedicated Community Educator at Wyndham Community & Education Centre, where she connected with community members, services, and stakeholders to design programs that promote lifelong learning and community connection. Her expertise in English literacy, EAL, and adult and community education enriches our college’s approach to meeting diverse learning needs.

Meg deeply values building strong, trusting, and meaningful relationships with young people as a means for them to discover who they are, develop their abilities to shape their lives, and engage with the world. Her involvement with the Australian Council for Adult Literacy committee and her tenure as President of the Victorian Adult Literacy Basic Education Council speak to her commitment to literacy and learning.

Meg looks forward to the positive impact her inclusive vision and emphasis on nurturing connections will have on our school community.
